Congratulations to Powder Mill School grade 3 teacher Michelle Desmarais, the STGRSD 2024 Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Award winner!
Ms. Desmarais was surprised on February 9, 2024 by her family, including her sons Ben and Ryan (Woodland School and Powder Mill students, respectively), Superintendent Willard, Powder Mill Principal Ms. Carrier, and Powder Mill Assistant Principal Ms. Rood.
Ms. Desmarais's 3rd grade colleagues Lori LeClair and Lauren Dion, as well as 3rd grade paraprofessionals Chelsey Wilgus and Lauri Aliengena, and her class, also were happy to celebrate this moment.
